Total loss 72.4
So, I gained .8 at the weigh-in yesterday. I'm not surprised because I ate quite a few nuts last week. Since this is my final week of official full beverage, I'm going to do my best to stick to it for one week and do some exercise every day. On June 12, I will have been on this diet (more or less) for 6 months. A special thanks to my staunch supporters, Chris and Kate. And to Lena for the superb drawing which, if I knew how, I would scan and put on this site. It depicts me with a tiny A by my waist, B on my upper arm, and C at my mouth. The key reads A - shirt so big it needs to be tucked in, B - bulky muscles, C - smile of tryumphf. Also the other arm is lifted with a fist of tryumphf. It's on display at work - I love it!

I'm hoping you'll keep posting every week even after the liquid portion is over. Do you have official weigh-ins for an extended period during the phase-in to food phase?

I am planning to, as this is the place that I keep track of my weight loss, and I am now hoping to get to 150, if possible.
ReplyDeleteI will start on 8 weeks of adapting on June 15, and that will involve a weigh-in every week.
After that, in order to be a sustaining member, you have to go and weigh in at least every 3 months. As a sustaining member, you get the privilege of buying one beverage per day (1 box of 7 per week - I don't know if you can get 3 months worth at a time) and I think you get to go to the group educational meetings for free. I doubt I will have a continuing desire to go to any meetings, as I do not relish them now, when I'm paying $25 each for them (I think I somehow actually pay only $2.50 after insurance pays.) I have thought about continuing to use beverage one day a week as a reminder of how I wouldn't want to do that full-time again - we'll see. I just hope that the day I stop losing does not become the day I start gaining, as I have done before.
One more week! Woo hoo! As for not gaining the weight back right away, I recommend keeping up with the exercise. I have been eating way too much the last few months and haven't lost any weight, but I attribute the fact that I haven't gained any of it back to exercise.
